It's pretty obvious the Wii is different. And a game like Kirby Epic Yarn shows that Wii games shouldn't just handle different, they should feel different, play different, sound different and look different to actually make it stand out from the PS3/X360 crowd. I'm really excited about the look and feel of this game, and I don't even own a Wii yet. Showing some love to old franchices is a very easy way to create positive buzz for Nintendo, but this appears to be some proper new love.

Usability is an important factor for websites, you really can't claim any other way. So for webshops to put important input information out of place during check-out is insane. I was rather upset the other day to find I had accidentally agreed to using a courier which I hate using. It wasn't even until I was told by a support member, and trying the check-out process at least twice, that I found the dropdown input for changing shipping company. The idiots actually managed to put that certain input out of place, out of sync and out of place of conduct. I re-iterate: idiots.

New PC is pretty much on the way, have received a number of parts already, and when I get it all up and running I'm gonna go cook me some giblets in Team Fortress 2. Maybe that stuff isn't that different from good ol' TFC as I thought and feared.

Deus Ex 3 trailer in the mean time also isn't half bad. Which seems an eerie mix of Metal Gear Solid and... the generic. The tech showcased in this trailer actually seems a lot more advanced than that used in the first game, which in the timeline actually comes after this game. Odd. Might have to give the first another go if I can find it. Still have the, very disappointing, sequel lying around without ever having touched it, so I shall be touching that 1 for sure. Gonna touch it all over the place.

Oh my gosh! The World Cup is approaching fast! I need to show my excitement! Woo! Good thing Robben appears fit enough to start playing sometime during the knock-out stages, which is where we will need someone of his class and excellence. If we turn world champions this year I'm gonna.... I'm gonna... hell I'm gonna scream!

There's an interesting article over at Tom's Hardware, addressing the StarCraft2 beta and its performance on a whole slew of hardware. An interesting part of it are the several gifs used for diplaying differences between young and old, low and ultra settings and 4:3 vs widescreen, lovely overall sight.

And as I'm slowly, but very surely, working my way towards a new PC I am getting rather giddy about the new Blizzard games (Diablo too). The first StarCraft never really did much for me, I never even did get very far past the first few missions, but I've always liked the entire get-up and polish of the game. Seeing this new footage has created a new interest in the SC universe. Knowing Blizzard it will still be some time for the game to hit stores, so I have time making up my mind about the game: just plain good! or just plain not my thing. I actually have the same with Diablo. I did buy the second of Diablo games, but didn't get really far with it. Partially because of the whimpsy locked resolutions and also because everyone else had moved on. Or maybe both games really just are not my cup of tea. But that's tough to swallow, as Blizzy polishes its games so nicely and I so desperately want to appreciate that effort and enjoy their work.

It seems to have taken them some time, dinosaurs would have been lucky with a lifespan this long, but Exoto has a spinky new website! This fills me with many good feelings, dare I say... butterflies? Nay, I do not. For someone who cannot build kits and thinks having someone else build them is just too expensive, manufacturers like Exoto are a gods blessing. So I love the fact that they do not seem to have perished and actually have a bit of an updated catalogue. Now if they only actually release some of those gorgeous models I'll be happy peppy, because it's been too long.

I sense 2010 will be a good year for my toy wants and needs :]

If tonight means Italian football will make its, horribly boring and unimaginative, return, I'm giving up and will start watching curling. Please mr. Van Gaal, for the love of everything football and beautiful, destroy Inter in the final. Leave not a shred of Inter alive.

What can I say about the Richie Sherlock Holmes film? It started off so well and then, as they say, turned very pear shaped. A shame, because the jokes and early action scenes were pretty much dead on. And as cute as Rachel McAdams might be, she certainly does not impress as some sort of femme fatale. Hardly :/
